Letterpress Machine

This is pretty cool and cute.  A table top letterpress machine from QuicKutz.  It's perfect to use for thank you notes, escort cards, stationery, etc.  Not a lot of options otherwise.  For instance, you can't set type (to make invitations) or even customize the fonts, etc.  But still fun for the novice printer.  As for me I am going to continue to daydream about owning the real deal someday.  *Sigh*

{design} nerd alert - washi tape

I know I am really treading on nerd territory now. I came across this site selling nothing but masking tape in different colors / patterns and I got so excited. Okay, let's be's not masking tape, it's Japanese rice paper (washi) tape. Great thing about these (besides the loads of choices) is that they are eco-friendly! I'm going to order a few colors and use them for packaging orders for shipping. I think these would also be great for gift wrapping. I've always loved the look of plain kraft wrapping paper with a pop of color from ribbon or...washi tape!

Martha Stewart Weddings - Spring 2009

Hi everyone! I have been chomping at the bit for months now just waiting to be able to share this wonderful news...

My design Spring Stripes is featured in the Spring '09 issue of Martha Stewart Weddings magazine (shown above - page 160)! It hits newsstands Monday, April 6th. I am so thrilled! MS Weddings is the one weddings mag that I buy religiously every season. I'm pretty sure I have every issue ever published. So this is a dream come true for me. Spring Stripes, the design featured, will be available for sale on the website immediately. It is also available in two alternate colors: greyfog/white and lapis/white. This is the perfect invitation for a classic, elegant wedding - but the bold pop of color will ensure this invite doesn't get lost in the shuffle!

just for fun . . .

D O Bead Letter Y Copper Uppercase Letter L letter e

I found this recently on Ellie Moore's blog template shop, Rainy Day Templates. I wish I had known about her shop before I put in hours and hours of frustrating work into this blog. If you have a blog you know how frustrating it can be to tweak blog structure. Anyway, I digress...It's a fun little resource called Spell with flickr, that allows you to type in any letters an it will "spell" it with flickr images (see above). See, just for fun!

liquid comfort

Just before the holidays I got my first cold in many months. It's been with me for about 10 days now and I'm just starting to feel better. One thing that has been a comfort to me during my "illness" is a delicious hot beverage a few times a day. Normally I'm a Swiss Miss kind of miss but I started thinking about all the goodies available out there. One super yummy treat is Schokinag European Drinking Chocolate. They have a Moroccan Spice flavor that I am really anxious to try. And the Extreme Dark Chocolate is to die for! And I'm not much of a tea drinker but a cup of lemon tea with a few teaspoons of this amazing honey would do just fine. Bee Raw Honey has some wonderfully unique flavors and beautiful gift sets for Valentine's Day.
